AT LSLC 2015, we shared great experiences with talented young people from Europe, Asia and Africa. Through designing real games, experiments and connecting with professional mentors, pushing our limits during outdoor weekend and getting to know our own strengths, we challenged ourselves and the peers around us. Here are some of the student’s stories:

“The whole camp was an amazing unforgettable experience for me. I improved my English, personal and presentation skills and made a lot of friends not just from Slovakia. I am thankful to whole LEAF team for giving me the opportunity to be part of LSLC:)” Sára, 16

“Because of this camp, I was able to realize how important is, to help others, to express your opinion and say thanks, also to be honest with yourself, and to be honest to other people as well. I was able to enjoy and challenge myself to the fullest content. Because of people around me, I was able to overcome all challenges. They gave me courage and self-confidence with what I’m doing. And that’s something you cannot buy.” Daniel, 15

What did Sabina and Viktor experience at ISAK Summer School 2014

“The ISAK experience expanded my understanding of others very much- it was the first time in my life that I have been in touch with so many different cultures. From now on I will try to look at all challenges as opportunities, and not as problems. I learned that leading is not always about being in front, and that sometimes being a good listener is most important. I hope that I can be part of ISAK again next year.”

… Is the English too much? Apply to our LEAF English Camp (above) and experience a cool summer with international students in Slovakia, so that you will never be limited by your English skills anymore!

Her free time was filled with games and fun with peers from all over the world. At the end she got a positive feedback certificate from one her teachers that can help her a bit later, when applying for university.

And how did Sára’s mom view all of this? “My child got onto a plane, but home came a responsible, mature daughter.”
